Women in Gold & Colour

You can be part of an art project

Women in Gold & Colour – The Seasons of Life

I’m looking for you — not as a model, but as part of an artwork!

Women in Gold & Colour - The Seasons of Life is a curated fine art portrait project looking for women age 20-70 to represent a season of life, inspired by seasonal colour palettes, golden accessories and a contemporary aesthetic.

This project is about presence, individuality and visual strength – not about perfection.

FAQ

Is this a paid photoshoot?

No.

Participation in Women in Gold & Colour is not a paid photoshoot.

It is a fine art project created for competition, exhibition and publication.

Participants are invited to contribute to production costs, such as make-up artistry etc (worth 250 euro).

What do I receive as a participant?

Each participant receives:

  • A professional studio photoshoot
  • Professional hair & make-up
  • One fully retouched fine art image of your choice (web sized digital file) and corresponding museum-quality fine art print (paper)

Additional images or sessions are optional.

Can I book an additional personal photoshoot?

Absolutely!

Participants may choose to book an optional Full Portrait Experience directly after the art project shoot.

This extended session is focused entirely on you and is priced separately.

Will the images be published?

Yes.

The images will be used for:

  • Competition submissions
  • Exhibitions
  • Website and portfolio
  • Printed publications (such as a project magazine)

A model release is required for participation.

Images from full portrait sessions afterwards will only be published with your specific consent.

Is nudity involved?

The portraits are artistic and stylised.

Skin may be shown up to fine art nude, never explicit or sexualised.

All boundaries are discussed beforehand, and no participant is asked to do anything they are not comfortable with.

Who selects the final image?

You will choose your favourite image from a curated selection.

That image will be professionally retouched and prepared as your fine art print.

I have the right to chose from all the other images from the art session to use them for publishing.

Where and when does the shoot take place?
  • Location: studio in Bovensmilde
  • Starting february 2026

Exact dates are confirmed individually.

When will I receive my fine art print?

To minimise environmental impact, fine art prints are ordered in one batch after all project participants have been photographed.

This means your included fine art print will be ready for pick up once the full series is completed.

If you order additional prints, albums or wall art (from the art project or the optional personal portrait session), delivery times may vary and some products may be ready earlier.

Who decides on styling, hair and make-up?

For the art project portraits, styling, hair and make-up are designed and directed by the photographer to fit the planned concept and visual language of the series.

If you book an optional personal portrait experience, the hair and make-up will be adjusted so it also works beautifully for your personal images. There is not an extra full hair/ make-up session.

All styling decisions are made with care, professionalism and respect for your comfort.
